Daniel Lelchuk’s accomplishments as a virtuoso cellist include performances in storied concert halls, and collaborations with highly-esteemed orchestras and ensembles around the world.
Lelchuk began playing the cello before the age of 5, and would go on to study with Eric Kim at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music. He was appointed Assistant Principal cellist of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra in 2013, and has performed as a soloist and in chamber ensembles across North America, the Middle East, Asia, and Europe.
Lelchuk has appeared with Royal Opera House Muscat in Oman and Mexico City's Orquesta Sinfónica de Minería, as well as in festivals such as the Baden-Baden, Salzburg, and Hawaii International Music Festival. By invitation from Prince Nicolò Boncompagni Ludovisi, he presented a series of solo cello recitals at Rome’s Villa Aurora in 2017.
Since 2017, Lelchuk has served as cellist for the New Orleans-based chamber ensemble Lyrica Baroque, and has played in the cello section of the Colorado Music Festival. In 2023, he joined tonebase as our Cello Lead, working with top artists and educators to build the #1 resource for learning cello online.
