In this course, celebrated cellist Johannes Moser takes us through one of the landmark pieces of cello repertoire: the Variations on a Rococo Theme by Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. With Moser as our guide, we go behind the scenes of his trademark piece, as we learn about numerous stylistic elements, bowing and fingering choices, and the rich history of this masterpiece. We also learn about the various editions of the piece, as well as some surprising historical knowledge.
