Etude Op. 60 No. 23 by Matteo Carcassi has been one of Bahar’s favorites for many years. It’s fast and exciting, full of opportunities to work carefully on left hand technique. This lesson will focus on slurs, high-speed shifting, and phrasing in harder passages. Mastery of this piece opens the door for more difficult slurs and gets your feet wet with up-tempo etudes. This etude is short enough to be repeated over and over again in a practice session, making it an excellent study to help you build your stamina.
