On Muting Notes
Taught by renowned guitaristÂ
Eduardo Inestal
One of the unique challenges of our instrument is that we have to both play and actively *stop* notes, even ones that we didn't pluck in the first place. In this lesson, Eduardo explains when and how you should mute notes in your playing.

The lesson is divided into three sections - bass notes, melody notes, and undesired notes. Each section examines a different muting problem and what solutions are available to you as the player.

For all three sections, Eduardo clearly describes and plays examples of the problem and then explains several techniques for overcoming them. By the end of this lesson, you will know how to recognize and fix any moments where muting is needed in your own pieces!
