Rene Izquierdo teaches the beautiful Cancion Y Danza No. 1 by Spanish composer Antonio Ruiz-Pipó. Working off Narcisco Yepes’ edition, Rene shares the fingerings and musical approach that will allow you to make this composition your own.<br><br>Breaking the lesson up into two parts, Rene starts with the 'Cancion.' Some of the topics covered in this half include maintaining a legato melodic line and contrasting repeated motifs with dynamic changes.<br><br>After playing through the 'Cancion,' Rene dives into the 'Danza' by explaining his preferred right hand fingering for the sustained rhythmic motif. Later on, he teaches the bulerias rasgueado pattern which you can use to draw more volume out of the instrument and drive the piece to a fiery conclusion.
