Chord Fundamentals

This lesson focuses on effective practice methods and the integration of 3-note chords into your scale routine. After working with open strings, you’ll progress to chord scales with the elements of 5ths and 6ths. This session offers practical strategies and exercises to seamlessly blend chords into your daily practice.

Major Scales in 3rds

Embark on the basics of double stops with a focus on scales in major 3rds in this lesson. Gain essential tips on optimal hand positioning for ease and precision, ensuring accurate intonation. Understand the critical role of the bow in producing a clear, resonant tones and learn the nuances of effective shifting to smoothly navigate through the scale with ease.

Minor Scales in 3rds

Alongside the essential principles practised in the previous lesson, Pikayzen also provides guidance on fingering for different keys and the harmonic minor.

Scales in 6ths

Learn effective practice techniques to master scales in 6ths with special attention to coordinating the left hand fingers. Understand how to use the lower voice as an anchor for precise intonation and discover the intricacies of fingering in higher positions.

Scales in Octaves
