An alumna of The Juilliard School and Mannes College of Music, Sparrow trained under notable figures like Julius Baker, Geoffrey Gilbert, and Thomas Nyfenger. Sparrow has served as a principal flutist for orchestras including the Memphis Symphony and the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, and is currently Assistant Principal Flutist for the Detroit Symphony.
