tonebase Names Virtuoso Cellist Daniel Lelchuk as Cello Lead
For many years, Daniel Lelchuk traveled the world performing with some of the highest acclaimed orchestras, from the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra to the Orquesta Sinfónica de Minería in Mexico City.
Now, as tonebase’s new Cello Lead, Daniel is working with his distinguished cello colleagues in a new environment: in front of the camera.
Daniel’s numerous festival appearances include Baden-Baden, Hawaii International Music Festival, Chamber Music Silicon Valley, Moritzburg, Lake George, and Salzburg.
“I want tonebase cello to be the best resource in the world for cellists of all levels: beginners, amateurs, advanced students, and seasoned pros. Whether you're just starting your cello journey or are well down the path, I am sure you'll find courses that suit your needs and feed your curiosity for our great instrument.”
Launch Of New Platform Furthers tonebase’s Mission To Democratize Access To High-Quality Music Education
Since its beginnings in a Yale practice room in 2017, tonebase’s mission has always been to democratize access to the highest-quality music education, allowing passionate players around the world to learn from and be inspired by the best.
As classically-trained conservatory musicians themselves, the founders of tonebase felt that something needed to be done about the lack of access to classical music education, previously only available for the select few.
“We ourselves were very fortunate to attend prestigious music schools and learn from the world’s top instructors. However, we noticed that our teachers could only accept a handful of students into their studio each year which meant very few people actually got to learn directly from these incredible musical minds. By utilizing technology and building a platform to share the ideas of these great instructors, we seek to provide a way that everyone can learn from world-class instructors regardless of whether they were accepted to Juilliard or Yale.”
At the core of tonebase’s Classical Guitar, Piano, Violin, and now Cello platforms, you'll find 1,000+ lessons, courses, and interviews taught by dozens of world-class instructors including pianists Emanuel Ax and Garrick Ohlsson, guitarists Pepe Romero, Ana Vidovic, and David Russell, and violinists Glenn Dicterow and David Kim. The addition of cello brings the team one step further towards fulfilling their mission.
