Jasmine Choi is a global phenomenon in the world of flute, having achieved success across genres and deep respect for her second-to-none artistic vision and virtuosity.
Choi picked up the flute at the age of nine, after beginning her musical studies with piano and violin. One year after starting to learn flute, she performed Haydn's Concerto in D Major with a local orchestra. She would go on to study at the Curtis Institute of Music and Juilliard.
Choi has performed with some of the most renowned orchestras worldwide, including the Philadelphia Orchestra, Salzburg Mozarteum, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, and the Berlin Symphony. She is a former principal flute of the Vienna Symphony and associate principal of the Cincinnati Symphony.and
Aside from her extensive career as a soloist, Choi has become known just as well for her solo CD recordings, original arrangements of classical master works, and recent ventures in online flute education.
