Bach's Violin Sonata No. 3 in C Major, BWV 1005, is a masterpiece of the solo violin repertoire. Bach's third sonata for solo violin, BWV 1005 in C major, was composed in 1720 and is the last of the composer's solo violin sonatas (as part of the six sonatas and partitas). The four movements of the sonata: Adagio, Fugue, Largo, and Allegro assai, are considered some of Bach’s finest instrumental music.
